Mission

KIPP Academy’s mission is to prepare students with the character and academic skills necessary for success in high school, college, and the competitive world beyond.

As a part of KIPP’s national network of schools, KIPP Academy believes that there are no shortcuts to success in life and that anything is possible.

The 2005-2006 school year marks the ninth consecutive year that the KIPP Academy has been the highest performing non-selective public middle school in the entire Bronx in terms of reading scores, math scores, and attendance.

Over 91% of KIPPsters are now performing at or above the state average in math, and, over 74% are doing the same in reading. For the fourth consecutive year, KIPP Academy ranks in the top 10% of all New York City public schools.
